Watch me grow as I sit on the window sill…
Day 2 has been an exciting start to the trip in my erasmus destination. We moved rooms today within the student residences and now have a beautiful view overlooking the nearby town on a roof terrace.
We went to school this morning, met our educator and a few other members of the team. Everybody is very kind and generous and the placement looks like it could be a great success. I was pleased to find out that we have a ‘skills lab’ every Friday. Within these skills labs we will learn a variety of pediatric skills and each have a case study to assessment, plan interventions for, complete interventions with and evaluate the process.
On my list of things to do yesterday I am still ongoing with all 3. My aim is to complete my literature review tomorrow. I find all 3 tasks quite challenging because I am a slow reader and sometimes I read and don’t take in the information I am looking at. This is one of my own weaknesses I have identified and want to change as I develop.
OT week is approaching and I am thinking of ideas to celebrate our great profession in this country. #thinkingcapon
NOTE TO FAMILY: I hope you are all happy at home. I am really pleased with my new room and I can’t wait to show you all. I have a fruit bowl in my bedroom, stocked up on water bottles and snacks of raisins & nuts instead of McVities biscuits as I am trying to be healthy.
